Our viral head spa is a slow scalp cleanse and massage at a heated basin, in South Pasadena. Choose Gold Relaxation Head Spa (60 minutes, $98) or ELELUX Head Spa (70 minutes, $165). Both start with a magnified look at your scalp on screen and end with a steamed hair mask.
“Viral head spa” is the name social media gave to a particular kind of scalp ritual: you lie back on a padded bed with your head over a heated basin, warm water runs through your hair, and a therapist works up a rich lather while massaging your scalp. The videos usually show the slow rinse, the lather and a magnified view of the scalp on a screen. Millions of people watched them, and the name stuck.
At Elegant Head Spa the viral head spa is a relaxation and cleansing service. You change into a robe and lie still with your eyes covered while your therapist works. There is no cutting or colour.

Most services take a $15 deposit when you book online through Fresha. It goes toward your visit.
